COURSE INFORMATION

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that takes care of the design, construction, analysis, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
The mechanical engineer is responsible for designing and developing engines, vehicles, machines and thermodynamic systems for all types of industry, working in a wide field of scientific and technological activities with assignments such as: planning services, administering, managing, implementing technological changes, improving knowledge , preserving health and the environment, etc.


In this sense, the professional trained in the Mechanical Engineering course at Faculdade Vale do Cricaré must be instructed so that they can develop their activities with the following skills and competences:


I – Apply mathematical, scientific, technological and instrumental knowledge to mechanical engineering;
II – Design and conduct experiments and interpret results;
III – conceive, design and analyze systems, products and processes related to the area;
IV – Plan, supervise, prepare and coordinate mechanical engineering projects and services;
V – Identify, formulate and solve mechanical engineering problems;
VI – Develop and/or use new tools and techniques;
VI – Supervise the operation and maintenance of mechanical and industrial systems;
VII – critically evaluate the operation and maintenance of mechanical and industrial systems;
VIII – communicate efficiently in written, oral and graphic forms;
IX – Acting in multidisciplinary teams;
X – Understand and apply ethics and professional responsibility;
XI – assess the impact of engineering activities in the social and environmental context;
XII – assess the economic feasibility of mechanical engineering projects;
XIII – assume the posture of permanent search for professional updating
XIV – manage and monitor the administrative planning of production, within the scope of mechanical engineering.
Within this context, the graduate is able to start his professional career with the same chance of success in any area of Mechanical Engineering.

GRADUATE PROFILE

In the national and world socio-political context, the professional must have a global and pluralistic vision, arising from a multidisciplinary training of skills: Technical, Human and Political around the functions of the profession of Mechanical Engineer.
The egress student must have a solid education, having as a basic premise the formation of a professional with:

 

  • Clear theoretical and practical vision;

  • Balanced and fair valuation of material approaches;

  • Conditions for applying for postgraduate courses that expand professional training and the needs of the labor market and, therefore, an agile and frequent exchange between educators and employees and with other entrepreneurial bodies should be maintained, in order to foster technological development.
